I am delighted to share that our new book, Implementing Design-Based Research in Education: Practical Tools and Strategies, is due to be published on the 28th of May 2026.

Co-authored with Ann Devitt and Jen O’Sullivan, this book explores how Design-Based Research (DBR) can bridge the gap between educational theory and real-world practice. Grounded in creativity, empathy, and collaboration, it offers a practical guide for both researchers and educators working to design meaningful, impactful learning experiences.

Across the book, we:

• Guide readers through the key phases of DBR
• Explore how to build sustainable partnerships in educational settings
• Focus on understanding the lived experiences of learners
• Share practical tools for designing, implementing, and evaluating interventions
